The safety of our customers is our highest priority. Please read this policy carefully before ordering, especially if you have a food allergy, intolerance, or dietary requirement.
1. Important Warning
Our products are handled and packed in an environment that processes or may come into contact with peanuts, tree nuts, milk, eggs, wheat (gluten), soya, and sesame. We cannot guarantee that any product is completely free from allergens. If you have a severe allergy, please do not order without contacting us first.
2. The 14 Major Allergens
UK food law requires us to declare the presence of the following allergens. These are identified on each product page:
- Cereals containing gluten (wheat, rye, barley, oats)
- Crustaceans
- Eggs
- Fish
- Peanuts
- Soybeans
- Milk
- Nuts (almond, hazelnut, walnut, cashew, pecan, Brazil, pistachio, macadamia)
- Celery
- Mustard
- Sesame seeds
- Sulphur dioxide and sulphites (above 10mg/kg or 10mg/litre)
- Lupin
- Molluscs
3. How We Label Allergens
- Allergen information is listed on every product page on our website.
- Products that contain an allergen are clearly marked.
- We also flag where products “may contain” traces due to our packing environment.
- It is your responsibility to check allergen information before purchasing.
4. Cross-Contamination
Our sweets are sourced from multiple suppliers and packed by hand. While we take precautions to avoid cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee complete separation of allergens in our packing environment. If you have a severe or anaphylactic allergy, we strongly advise against ordering from us.
5. Dietary Requirements
Vegetarian
Products suitable for vegetarians are marked on the product page. Not all of our products are vegetarian (some contain gelatine).
Vegan
Products suitable for vegans are marked on the product page. Many sweets contain gelatine or milk derivatives and are not vegan.
Halal & Kosher
We do not currently hold halal or kosher certification. Some of our products contain pork-derived gelatine. Please check individual product pages.
Gluten-Free
We do not produce gluten-free certified products. Our packing environment handles products containing gluten.
6. Children
Some of our products may contain hard sweets, small parts, or high sugar content and may not be suitable for very young children. Products are not intended for children under 3 years unless otherwise stated. Please supervise children when consuming confectionery.
7. If You Have a Reaction
If you or someone else has an allergic reaction after consuming one of our products:
- Seek immediate medical attention if the reaction is severe (call 999 in the UK)
- Retain the product and packaging if possible
- Contact us at hello@pinkcloudsweets.co.uk with full details of the product and the reaction
We take all reactions extremely seriously and will investigate immediately.
8. Accuracy of Information
We work hard to ensure allergen information is accurate and up to date. However, product recipes and ingredients can change. We always recommend checking the product label when your order arrives in addition to the information on our website.
